In existing buildings, the data required for hydraulic balancing can often only be estimated because sufficient information on the piping is unavailable. In old buildings, the lengths and diameters of pipes are often not documented, the pipe systems have been changed or there are different levels of renovation. Therefore, basic data for optimum calculation of the system hydraulics is missing. AFRISO offers a dynamic system for hydraulic balancing which automatically controls the adjusted water volumes for all load and operating conditions via the valve.
Hydraulic balancing in single- and two-family homes as well as in apartment buildings can be performed very fast and easily with the new pre-adjustable thermostat valve Vario-DP from AFRISO. The only control component the valve contains is a patented, dynamic valve insert consisting of a valve spindle and a control diaphragm. The valve operates with a standard valve gasket and does not require additional dirt filters. Clogging and subsequent failure due to particles can therefore be excluded.
The Vario-DP valve automatically limits the adjusted water volume and controls it independently of pressure variation in the heating system. This means that the right water volume is always supplied to the radiator, regardless of the number of open or closed thermostat valves in the system. Due to its wide adjustment range in increments of 10 l/h from 20 l/h to 290 l/h, Vario-DP offers sufficient reserve. The gunmetal fittings have a control range from 20 to 50 kPa; they are suitable for pressures of up to 10 bar and for temperatures of the medium of up to 120 °C.
The Vario-DP is available with nominal diameters of DN 10, DN 15, DN 20 and in the standard types angled, straight, axial and angled-angled as thermostat valve body Vario-DP as well as thermostat combination block Vario-DP for radiators with centre connection in dual pipe systems. The valve insert can be replaced with the optional MGV mounting unit at operating pressure without the system having to be drained.
