Heat pumps with or without solar support. Hybrid systems in which a heat pump is added to existing heating technology during modernisation. Buffer tanks that ensure a minimum flow or extend the general heat supply in existing system solutions: These are a few examples of the increasing level of diversity and customisation of heating systems. This development results in new challenges for the HVAC industry with regard to efficient heat distribution. With the HSM zone manifold, AFRISO has created the technical basis for implementing a wide variety of concepts based on a standardised platform.

Modular design for a vast array of possibilities

The HSM zone manifold for heat distribution (patent pending) flexibly covers a wide range of applications in new builds and modernisation projects, both in detached houses and apartment buildings with a large number of heating zones. The individual pump assemblies – new in 90 mm and in the familiar 125 mm format – can be modularly expanded as required. The new 90 m pump assembly consists of high-grade polymers and excels with its slim design. It is versatile and can be used for all heat distribution applications, whether direct, mixed or as a fixed value system.

High degree of flexibility during installation

Yet another outstanding feature: The zone manifold lets the user reconnect the system and venting components in a flexible way so that the outlet to the pump assembly can be positioned either upwards, downwards or sideways in order to accommodate different site and piping conditions – particularly so in modernisation projects.

With this high degree of flexibility, its compact dimensions and its modular expandability, the HSM zone manifold meets all requirements for implementing a wide range of individually required boiler manifolds with just a single system. Rotating the boiler manifold, for example, allows you to flexibly interchange the flow and return in order to realise the connection to the heat generator more easily. Another benefit: By removing the integrated differential pressure bypass valve, the boiler manifold can be easily converted into a hydraulic separator.

Save time and avoid errors

HVAC professionals can meet customer-specific requirements much more efficiently and quickly, thereby demonstrating a high level of expertise to clients, avoiding potential sources of error and mastering challenges. The prefabricated assemblies relieve installers of the hassles to create complex hydraulics on site – this saves costs for fittings and considerable labour hours. At the same time, you ensure consistently high quality and correct installation so that the heat distribution and the various systems are optimally matched for highly energy-efficient operation.

How HVAC professionals benefit from the zone manifold

This new type of heat distribution allows you to implement the most diverse range of solutions, from a pure heat pump system to the reliable integration of a buffer tank or the use of solar thermal energy all the way to hybrid systems. Thanks to the modular design, heating engineers can realise a wide variety of heat distribution configurations in a simple, time-saving and effective way.
Wall mounting is just as straightforward using a sturdy metal rail and adjustable wall distances of 80 to 130 mm.
