The collector tank for solar liquid is connected to the diaphragm safety valve MSS or to the safety group assembly PrimoSol® of the solar pump assembly via a pipe. In the case of system overpressure, it collects escaping solar liquid. A basic volume of 1 to 1.5 l of liquid is always contained in the collector tank to avoid overheating of the collector tank if solar liquid escapes suddenly from the solar thermal system.
