Diaphragm technology as the key to adaptation

Today, e manufacture measurement technology products at our site in Amorbach (Bavaria). High-precision pressure gauges, chemical seals and pressure transducers are produced here – all the way from individual components to the final assembly of the entire pressure measurement system. Measurement technology for hygienic applications and efficient production of assemblies take centre stage.

Customised production for optimum adaptation to the application

For us, the customised process connection is the key to optimum adaptation of the measuring instrument to the application; it is a prerequisite for reliable operation in the process. AFRISO offers a wide variety of connection options with a large selection of materials. Special materials such as Monel, Hastelloy, platinum or titanium are possible, just like PFA/PTFE coatings. AFRISO measuring instruments for hygienic processes according to applicable regulations and EHEDG recommendations are designed in such a way as to avoid external contamination and microbiological pollution and to ensure easy cleaning. All wetted parts have been and tested classified as hygienic for demanding processes in the biotechnology, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. They meet FDA requirements for contact with food and drugs. This applies to metals as well as elastomers for seals or oils for transmission in chemical seals. 

Production of assemblies for superior quality and short delivery times 

With regard to production, this variability is achieved by producing standardised assemblies for the design of the measuring instruments. The individual components are premanufactured in modular systems and assembled into units once the process conditions for the application have been clarified. The focus is always on strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). AFRISO ensures this in advance, for example, by constantly monitoring production processes and conducting a final 100% inspection of each individual unit. 

This is backed by a high degree of vertical integration: We control all relevant production steps ourselves and are not dependent on suppliers. This dramatically reduces transport routes. Initial development, concept studies, design, toolmaking and laboratory testing are also covered in-house. This production philosophy allows us to rapidly respond to individual or short-term customer requirements, produce small production lots and ensure high delivery reliability. This is a major benefit for the efficient implementation of individual projects, especially in times of uncertain supply chains.
