Heat source manifold ProFusion HSM

Hybrid applications made easy

Whether installed straight away or retrofitted later: HSM, lets you implement a wide variety of heating concepts at any time using a single, standardised platform.

Combined operation with different heat generators

Hybrid systems are increasingly becoming the focus of heat generation and are attracting growing interest among end customers: This is due to global factors such as an uncertain supply of fossil fuels, the steadily rising CO2 tax, or even unsettling statements that a heat pump cannot efficiently reach the "high" temperatures in older buildings. System owners see the benefit of continuing to use existing heat generators and, to the extent feasible, supplementing them with a heat pump. In such cases, it is often a challenge to implement the manufacturer's hydraulics specifications in the boiler room.

Many components, such ascheck valves, storage volumes and temperature limiters, requireinstallation and coordination. Errors are not uncommon and areoften only discovered afterwards when the electricity bill arrives. This is where the modular concept of the heat source manifoldcomes in, enabling simple and error-free installation without complexplanning of the hydraulic system. Time savings reduce costsand existing equipment can be integrated into the system. It iseven possible to retrofi t a second heat generator at a later pointin time. True to the motto: "Who knows what the future holds."

Efficient integration of the heat pump into existing oil- or gas-fired heating systems

The specially designed HSM hydraulic system allows for the optimum integration of a heat pump into existing oil- or gas-fired heating systems. The focus is on maximum efficiency of the heat pump: The buffer tank extends the running times and reliably prevents frequent on and off cycles.

The heat generator is powered solely by the heat pump, preventing unnecessary consumption of fossil fuel. Both heat generators can be operated independently of each other or in parallel without affecting each other. The intelligent connection ensures optimum adjustment of the different volume flows and prevents flow noise in the system.

Optimal system solution for solid fuel boilers and further heat generators with buffer tanks

The sophisticated hydraulic system design with a system buffer allows for the efficient integration of solid fuel boilers and other heat generators that require a buffer volume for heat storage. If the boiler is not in operation, the heat pump automatically takes care of the heat supply.

The buffer tank ensures long running times of the heat pump and prevents frequent on and off cycles. When the wood boiler is in operation, it can transfer the heat it generates to the storage tank in an optimum way. At the same time, the system reliably protects the heat pump from excessive return temperatures, thereby contributing to a long service life.
