New heating circuit manifold based on outstanding expertise in polymer materials

The ProCalida^® MC 1 manifold, which is specially tailored to heating system modernisation, excels characteristics such as the dual-chamber system for very good heat loss limitation and a large cross section for optimum supply to the control circuits. The manifold system as per VDI 2035 is suitable for surface heating systems and cooling systems with two to twelve heating/cooling circuits. As condensation is practically excluded, the manifold is also ideal for heat pumps with a cooling function.

Easy retrofitting with flexible wall bracket

Excellent functionality during operation takes centre stage, but the AFRISO developers have also attached great importance to easy retrofitting n modernisation projects of existing heating systems. Therefore, the manifold comes fully pre-assembled and tightness-tested so that is ready to be connected right away. An extremely practical benefit for installation at the end customer's: The four-part wall bracket of the manifold can be positioned as required so that the distances to the flow and return lines can be adjusted as needed – even with large-volume actuators and heating circuit pipes up to 20 mm. In addition, the wall bracket consisting of high-quality, robust polymer excels with outstanding sound-absorbing properties. The heating or cooling circuit manifold is also characterised by its robust, very short polymer design.

Sight glass of the flow meter can be cleaned with system pressure present

Over time, pollution from the system can settle in the sight glasses of the flow meters and impair visibility. A special feature of ProCalida^® MC 1 remedies this problem: Thanks to a special valve technology, the sight glasses can be removed and cleaned under full system pressure without the system having to be drained. This ensures that the set value is easy to read at all times.

The control range of the flow meter is 0.5 to 4 l/min with locking as per EN 1264-4. The valves can be shut off and regulated for hydraulic balancing of wall or underfloor heating systems. When the system is shut off, the pre-adjustment is not lost for compliance with EN 1264-4. The valve discs with O ring seals contribute to permanently reliable closing of the control circuits.

With optional automatic hydraulic balancing

By choosing this manifold system, HVAC professionals also benefit from all the other advantages of the AFRISO range. For example, a product version with dynamic control valves Vario-DP for automatic hydraulic balancing is available. This version features a shut-off valve in the flow line of the manifold instead of the flow meter. This allows for automatic control of the water volume per heating circuit and thus for fast, reliable hydraulic balancing. The geometry of the valve insert is designed in such a way that pollution in the system has no effect on its operation.
