Buffer tank for hot or cold storage in sealed heating systems as per EN 12828. The buffer tank allows for the integration of up to two heat generators and an additional electric heating element. The con nection to the heating circuit operates as a hydraulic separator and is designed for direct connection of the AFRISO boiler manifolds KSV or the pump assemblies PrimoTherm®. Operation with a heat pump ensures a sufficient volume flow and keeps the heat pump from intermittent operation due to a lack of system volume. In addition, the buffer tank ensures that there is sufficient heat capacity for defrosting the outdoor unit.

Compact buffer tank consisting of a rectangular steel tank with a storage capacity of 160 litres, foamed heat insulation and outer casing made of sheet metal. A baffle plate in the tank ensures a stratified temperature distribution in the tank to allow for controlled mixing of the flow and return. Lateral connections - either to the right or to the left - make it easy to adapt the buffer tank to the conditions on site. The floor-standing buffer tank is equipped with levelling feet to compensate for uneven floors.
Series ABT buffer tanks comply with the EU Regulation 812/2013 und der EU Regulation 814/2013.
