The new AFRISO AMC 20 door and window contacts monitor - not only in your absence - whether windows and doors are open or closed. If the state changes from open to closed or vice versa, an alarm message is sent to an AFRISOhome gateway or to stand-alone wireless components from AFRISO such as the indoor siren AIS 10 PRO or the plug-in socket APR 234. The AMC 20 door and window contacts operate without batteries and are maintenance-free. The energy required to send an EnOcean telegram is generated by means of an integrated photovoltaic cell.

The integrated energy storage module allows for operation for several days even in total darkness. In permanently dark environments (such as basements or warehouses) it is also possible to use a button cell battery. The module monitors the presence of a magnet at the side by means of an integrated Reed contact and immediately signals state changes. A double-sided adhesive strip allows for extremely easy mounting of the compact housing to windows, door frames or cabinet doors. An AFRISOhome gateway, or use in conjunction with additional AFRISO smart home products with EnOcean^® wireless technology, allows the user to configure a whole range of fully customisable, extensible applications. A single door and window contact AMC 20 and a single indoor siren AIS 10 are sufficient to implement an alarm system.
