The AFRISO DMU 08 T level probe is suitable for simultaneous measurement of the level and the temperature at a measuring point. The level probe is used for drinking water, groundwater, waste water (with optional FEP cable), diesel fuel and fuel oil.

DMU 08 T converts the hydrostatic pressure of liquids in the pressure ranges of 0/100 mbar to 0/25 bar and temperatures of 0/30 °C to 0/70 °C into proportional, independent electrical 4-20 mA signals. The special feature of DMU 08 T is the ability to simultaneously measure level and temperature with separate, independent signal amplification which considerably reduces the wiring and maintenance effort.

The unit uses a piezo-resistive silicon measuring cell; the temperature is measured by means of an integrated Pt 100 sensor. Special calibration for all standard pressure units possible. The level probe DMU 8 T has a stainless steel 316 L housing. Electrical connection is made with PUR cable (IP 68) with an air hose for reference to the ambient atmospheric pressure as well as an integrated overvoltage protection unit. The level probe DMU 08 T is supplied with DC 10-30 V.

The two output signals are 2-wire signals; they are protected against short circuits and reverse polarity. Optional accessories such as screw connector kit, junction boxes and anchor clamps are available for mounting. DMU 08 T can be used, for example, for drinking water treatment in tanks or waste water systems, in rivers and waters as well as in wells or drilling holes.
