Germany still has around 5 million oil-fired heating systems, consuming approximately 13 million tonnes of fuel oil annually. A short-term replacement is not feasible because of the current supply bottlenecks and a shortage of skilled professionals. It may make more sense to operate existing technology in a more sustainable way rather than trying to completely renew it in the short term. In our opinion, the politically identified climate goals can only be achieved if existing systems can be operated in a largely climate-neutral way during a transition period. We believe that a sustainable energy transition can only succeed if different technologies and resources can be utilised simultaneously. Renewable energies will, of course, be key in this. Technologieoffenheit We have identified four key areas in the energy transition on the heating system market, for which AFRISO would like to be your reliable partner: 1. Green Fuels Ready: Liquid fuels as a transition technology Synthetically produced paraffinic fuels can contribute to paving the way to zero CO2 emissions. Therefore, we are optimising our "oil products" on an ongoing basis. AFRISO components are suitable for FAME admixtures and also bear the "Green Fuels Ready"’ label of the BDH (Federal Association of the German Heating Industry). The future has already begun for owners of fuel oil heating customers: Classic fuel oil, e-fuels and biofuels can be mixed, and the proportion of climate-neutral energy can be continuously increased to 100% CO2 neutrality over the next few years. 2. Green production AFRISO products with the ""Green Production" label make a special contribution to sustainability as a result of their production processes or application. Many of these products have an extremely low CO2 footprint, since they are entirely manufactured according to ecological criteria at the respective AFRISO production site. 3. Rapid results through efficient use As a general rule, existing heating systems should always be kept in good working condition to maximise energy savings. In this area, AFRISO provides hydraulic connection systems, energy-efficient pump assemblies, manifold systems and clever valve and control technology. Always aiming to enhance the expertise of HVAC professionals and to allow for considerable time savings during installation. Our pre-assembled components can be used independently of the heating system so that this asset can continue to be used even if the heat source is changed. 4. Conversion of decommissioned fuel oil consuming systems Does the end customer opt for a change of technology when a new system is installed? Then we can provide solutions that allow to reuse existing components in a sustainable way. For example, by repurposing a steel tank for garden irrigation or toilet flushing. An AFRISO inner lining for rainwater quickly converts an old steel tank into the basis for a modern rainwater harvesting system.
